The Sitecore Day Initiative kicked off last year with talks
about Sitecore at universities. This year, the initiative continues with a more
developed agenda. We firmly believe that this initiative serves as an excellent
means to evangelize and attract more individuals to the community. Following
these guidelines, Sitecore Day this time is organized by the Sitecore User
Group Latam. We made this decision because we believe it's beneficial to have
an entity behind the organization, extending beyond individual efforts.

We chose Manta University for this event because it's one of
the universities with the highest number of students in engineering and related
fields. We made up an agenda that covers a range
of topics, from basic introductions to Sitecore and the opportunities it
offers to more advanced subjects like platform architecture and specialized
features within the platform. Our aim was to provide a logical sequence of
topics so that those unfamiliar with Sitecore could have an introduction and
then explore more in-depth subjects.

The Sitecore Day at Manta was a resounding success,
attracting around 150 attendees, including students and alumni who were highly
interested in learning more about the platform. The opportunities and benefits
we presented sparked inquiries from many about how to work with the platform.
As a follow-up task, we are committed to providing them with workshop
opportunities, enabling them to interact with the platform. Currently, these
workshops are theoretical, but in the future, we plan to make them practical.
We hope to offer job opportunities within companies that utilize this platform,
creating a bridge between the academic world and the professional Sitecore
community.

In this Sitecore Day event, I had the privilege of
participating as a speaker, discussing the exploration of Sitecore
opportunities in the cloud. I went into detail about the Composable Sitecore
Suite, covering Content Cloud, Engagement Cloud, and Commerce Cloud. This set
the stage for other speakers to contribute their expertise. I also highlighted
the significance of investing in Sitecore, emphasizing its leadership among
competitors and the existing market niche in Latin America for developers.
