Sitecore: Packaging error on final layout controls

I am working on a migration project and every once in a while it is needed to update the content from the old site to the upgraded one. At first, we used a master backup and since then the last content has been updated by packages. 

Today, we faced an error on our packages. It doesn't matter how many variations of content we generated (around 2500 attempts haha!), the final layout controls at the presentation details were not being exported to the package.  

We don't know yet what is causing the error (when we figure it out I will add it here as well) but found out a workaround. 

Fix

Copy the raw value for the final layout from your working environment to the corresponding item field in the new environment. 

Details  

• Navigate to the page in concern
• Activate standard values and raw values check  at view option in the ribbon
• Look for the final layout field at the layout section  
• Copy this value to your item, save and publish your changes
