Launch of the Sitecore User Group Latam: Connecting Communities, Sharing Experiences

We are thrilled to announce the exciting launch of the Sitecore User Group Latam, an initiative that reflects our commitment to contribute and connect with the Sitecore community. We believe in sharing not only knowledge but also experiences, and we want to reach more people to offer them all the opportunities that this platform can provide.

We decided to create a group because we understand that the strength of a community lies in the diversity of enthusiasts who engage in conversations and promote and share their knowledge and experiences. Initially, I thought this should be created by an MVP, and my plan was to launch the Sitecore User Group after achieving that recognition. However, I realized that anyone passionate about Sitecore could start a SUG, which is valuable information for those interested in doing so.

In my case, I waited until becoming an MVP to feel that I could lead the Sitecore User Group, and once achieved, I gathered six enthusiastic colleagues who decided to join this initiative. Now, we are the co-founders of the Sitecore User Group Latam. We believe in the possibility of connecting and working together to spread the concept and ideals of Sitecore in Latin America.

While we recognize that Latin America may not be the most suitable market in terms of potential clients, we are convinced that we can contribute exceptional developer talent to the Sitecore community. Under this ideal, we have started with all the necessary tasks to grow this group. We are researching commonly accepted formats and practices, as this is a new experience for us. However, we are excited to share everything we learn in the best possible way, and above all, we will strive to unite the existing community and attract more people to this beautiful community.

We had the opportunity to announce the launch of the Sitecore User Group in a very special talk organized by OSHYN, the company where we work, called "Woman Tech Talk." This talk provided us with a space to present our initiative to a broad and diverse audience. We hope that throughout the year, we can reach more people with this initiative, sharing knowledge, and experiences, and building a stronger and more vibrant community.
